Highly Successful Fundraiser
As part of the decorations and props, Audience Pleasers had the honor of donating a 40ft. Balloon Arch to Montclair State University Sorority: Sigma Delta Tau Gamma Xi Chapter 15th Annual Tricky Tray, on Sunday, April 19th at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ.
Sigma Delta Tau has been around for over 98 years! On March 25, 1917, seven young women who exemplified self-confidence and the willingness to take a chance founded a new sorority at Cornell University. The organization was built based on the personal growth and social development of each of its individuals.
The Gamma Xi chapter was colonized at Montclair State University on September 2, 1989. On January 26, 1990, the Gamma Xi chapter of Sigma Delta Tau was officially established at Montclair State University.
Sigma Delta Tau’s national philanthropy is Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA). Every year, their chapter hosts a Tricky Tray to raise money and awareness for the cause, and they are proud to say that this event has been getting bigger and bigger with each year. Sigma Delta Tau Gamma Xi was the first Chapter to start a Tricky Tray and is known by other chapters all over the country for how much it’s raised. This year they raised over $17,000 for PCAA and Fragile X! The local philanthropy that the Gamma Xi chapter also donates to is the National Fragile X Foundation. Fragile X is the most common inherited cause of intellectual impairment and the most common known genetic cause of autism. Every year they are proud to raise money for this foundation as well.
We were so happy to be a part of this fundraiser and wish the best of luck to the ladies of Sigma Delta Tau Gamma Xi and hope to support them in the years to come.
